Go Texan Steak Dinner, Dance and Hill County Fundraiser - August 23rd 2025

The Hill County Area Go Texan Committee has announced the date for this year’s fund-raising dinner, drawing and dance for its scholarship fund.

The large annual event will be held Saturday, August 23 2025, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in West, Texas.  Tickets are $150 per couple, which includes two draws from the hopper, and steak dinner and drinks.

This year’s grand prize will be $6,500, plus there will be three gun raffles and other drawings.  The Mark Fields Band will provide the dancing entertainment for the evening.

Since becoming a Go Texan county in 1991, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Association and the Hill County local committee has awarded over $800,000 in scholarships. The 2024 event generated $38,000 that was recently awarded to Hill County high school senior scholarships.
