The Hillsboro ISD Education Foundation partners with the community to provide resources to enrich teaching, inspire learning, and maximize innovative opportunities for all students in the district.
With regular state educational funding not meeting the rising cost of education, the support of the Foundation ensures the district's ability to support vital academic opportunities for HISD students.
Because of the generosity of the community, the Foundation has distributed $204,919 in grants to teachers and $35,899 in campus site grants allowing the implementation of unique classroom strategies. The Foundation has provided educators scholarships in the amount of $13,230 and has provided $70,966 in technological resources or scholarships to graduating seniors over the past nine years. The goals of the Foundation are to:
Strengthen and enrich learning through the development of innovative programs
Support additional training and resources for educators of the Hillsboro Independent School District
Provide the tools to prepare students for future success
Inspire parents and community members to participate with the school system to enrich education
Build community support and positive attention for the Hillsboro Independent School District
