Rise & Smoke delivered a near-perfect Texas barbecue experience for our pick up dinner. The brisket is a revelation--tender, smoky, and full of deep, meaty flavor. The pork ribs followed suit, and had a balance between chew and fall-off-the-bone tender. As for the sides, both the potato salad and cole slaw are on point, providing a refreshing contrast to the richness of the meats. The only minor hiccup for us was chopped chicken, excellent but just not quite as smokey as the other items. Overall, Rise & Smoke nails almost every element, making it a must-visit spot in this off I-35 town. Take the exit, take the exit, take the exit... you will be happy you did.
